I don’t know about you, but I love finding new brands to shop with and was over the moon when Liu Qiao from Grace Karin contacted me about collaborating for a post and kindly gifted me some lovely pieces from their site.
They specialise in evening wear and have a huge selection of vintage style dresses, but given that’s not really my style, I wanted to see what other bits they had to offer.
We hope that every woman wearing GRACE KARIN will have a young mindset that can transcend ages. Our style focuses on modern, elegant and simple clothes which are not only suitable for daily but also for party and work. Building a modern and exquisite image is the sincere gift for you.
I chose a pair of khaki trousers, a deep red chiffon shirt and a floaty floral print dress. I managed to picture the trousers and shirt as they were weather appropriate, but if I’d gone out in the dress I would have been an ice cube by the time I got back inside. However, the dress is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to wear it in the spring when it’s a bit warmer (it’s my own fault for picking something so summery in the winter – wishful thinking I suppose). So I’ll obviously make sure to show you all the dress in the spring on my Instagram as I can’t seem to go out without sharing my outfits – it’s become something of an obsession.
So on Saturday, I got dressed and headed out to the bank, for some lunch, a bit of a spending spree in Superdrug (post to come shortly), to Morrisons for some food shopping and then back outside in another outfit to snap for today’s post. Suffice to say it was a busy one as I later went #Hinching on my entire flat and had to clear up the soaking kitchen floor after Aaron disconnected our old washing machine ready for the new one to arrive.
Trousers
I am absolutely in love with these trousers and can’t tell you how comfortable they are. I’ll be honest, I had to change my knickers as the VPL was not a joke (lucky for me I’d gone to Primark the other week and picked up a pack of those VPL pants – winner!) but the style, fabric, fit – everything was perfect! The fabric is a kind of stretchy polyester which reminded me of the Miss Sexy school trousers all the girls at my school used to wear before they got banned (I think because they weren’t deemed as appropriate by the teachers – absolute shit) but fitted like a dream. I put them with my long sleeved cotton top from Next, denim jacket from Topshop and my black DM’s, because they’ve been neglected for a while since I got my red ones.
Shirt

I’ve been after a new shirt for a while and wanted something different to my usual plain white (no joke I think I have about 7 or 8) so when I saw the colour I knew it had to be for me. I sized up in this as I wasn’t too sure whether it would be too clingy and I’m glad I did as I would have been right. I put this with my dark wash blue Joni jeans from Topshop (which I accidentally got in a waist size too small so they’re reserved for quick outings with no food involved) and my red DM’s. It’s an outfit I’d definitely wear again and think the shirt would look amazing with some white jeans in the spring.
Final thoughts
These clothes were beautifully made, packaged well, they fit well and I was genuinely impressed! I can’t wait to wear the dress and know it’s going to look gorgeous (although I think I need to take the hem up – oh the plights of being a short arse). I also think the trousers and shirt will transition well into the spring, which is exactly what you want from new additions to your wardrobe.
So make sure to have a mooch on their website, you can also find them on Amazon here.

I absolutely love those trousers, I’d derinitely get so much wear out of them and I’d want them in every colour for work. I remember those trousers at school and I’m pretty sure they got banned at our school too, ridiculous! That red shirt looks amazing on you, red is definitely your colour for sure. The thing I love most about both of these items is how versatile they are, both of them can be dressed up for a night out or dressed down for work/casual days out. I can’t wait to see the dress and I’ll definitely be checking out their website.

I’m glad I’m not the only one to remember those trousers 😂😂 and thank you lovely, I’ve picked up a couple of red bits lately and definitely loving them! Also wanted to choose things I could get loads of wear out of, so deffo onto some winners! Xx
I’ve never actually heard of Grace Karin but these bits look so gorgeous on you! Red suits you so well, I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen you wear it but you definitely should more. I’ve only actually got one ‘smart’ shirt and I’m too lazy to iron so I never wear it, oops. The trousers are fabulous but I can totally see from the kind of material and fit that they’d cause VPL, I hate it when that happens! I wish khaki suited me as it’s such a nice neutral colour to wear but for some reason it looks terrible! I’m definitely going to pop onto their website to have a browse!

Oh I’m sure you’d be able to rock khaki!! And I have far too many shirts (I’ll blame that on working in an office 😉) so another one didn’t make much difference lol! Also thank you lovely, I need to wear red more but always thought it washed me out! Dx
Ooh I have never heard of this brand before, but these two bits you picked out look amazing on you! I love comfy trousers and I love the waist on these khaki ones. Red is such a fab colour too and this shirt is lush – looks incredibly on you! Can’t wait to see you style the dress 🙂 xo

Ahh thank you lovely! The waist was the seller for me, I love something a bit statement like that! ❤️❤️
