I’m mixing it up a bit today and talking about some of my favourite podcasts to listen to when I’m getting my clean on. Whether that’s clearing those bastard cobwebs from the ceilings, pulling my hair from the drain, sorting through my bursting wardrobe or simply doing the washing up (that Aaron promised me he would do the night before – but here we are with all of his cereal bowls piled up high and the remnants from last night’s dinner stuck to the pan) – I love to listen to people having a good old chinwag that I can feel a part of when I’m doing all of this as it makes the time fly by.
I’d love to have some speakers to blast these playlists through our entire flat so I don’t have to rely on my flimsy headphones being wrapped up in my arms and stuck into my running armband (which was in fact bought for that purpose, but life got in the way and I haven’t been running for a looooong time). The band always seems to slide down my arm when I’m bent over the bath, pulling my hair that seems to fall out at no end, from the plug hole or laying on the floor with the hoover, trying to get it under the sofa so that if somebody visits and accidentally drops something under there, I don’t need to hang my head in shame, apologising for the amount of dirt, hair and stray bits of cereal that Aaron’s dropped that’s under there. So I’m really excited that Panasonic wanted to sponsor me for today’s post as it gave me an opportunity to think about a resolution to my armband dilemma – make sure to check out Panasonic Multi-Room Speakers if you’re going through the same dilemma!
Here are three of my favourite podcasts to listen to when I’m getting my clean on or simply sorting my life out;
Keeping it Candid
Hosted by Millie Cotton and Sophie Milner, this pop culture podcast delves into some of the latest shenanigans going on whether that’s in the blogging and Instagram world with questionable growth tactics, to viral posts or making friends as adults – they’ve got a bit of everything! I’ve followed Sophie on YouTube and Instagram for a couple of years, so stumbled upon this podcast when she mentioned it a while back. I was so glad I did as it kick-started my love of podcasts and listening to people discussing topics I was constantly reading about in my Twitter feed or that felt were relevant to me, really caught my attention. This podcast is perfect if you’re into digital pop culture and has been my go-to when I’m lacking in motivation to write blog posts.
Loose Lips
Hosted by Luisa Zissman and Anna Williamson, this covers topics that have come up in the news or ones that have been highly requested by their followers. I really enjoy this as there are unfiltered opinions, there’s no apologising for what has been said, it’s blunt and to the point (I’ve got a lot of people in my life that are like this so it’s something I find quite refreshing – Aaron’s like this and it’s one of my favourite elements of his personality).
The Receipts Podcast
The big sisters of the internet, Audrey (formerly known as Ghana’s Finest), Tolly T and your mamacita Milena Sanchez eyyyyy (if you’ve listened, you’ll understand 😉) host an advice based podcast where listeners will write in with their dilemmas for unadulterated advice – they cover everything from career, relationships, racism and religion. Listening to them is like being sat in a room with your mates, having a laugh, catch up and chat which is what makes this podcast so relatable. If you’re up for outbursts of song, reminiscing on old times and sharing stories, this podcast is for you!
Thank you to Panasonic for sponsoring today’s post – I hope to find some great speakers to blast out some of my favourite podcasts (and songs of course – got to have a boogie every now and then!) from all rooms in our flat!
I hope you enjoyed this post and have found a new podcast to listen to whilst you roll your sleeves up for a cleaning session! Let me know if you’ve got any recommendations in the comments below – I’m always on the hunt for new ones to listen to!

LMAO Gaby I love the little dig at Aaron here! I love the sound of these podcasts and I am genuinely going to have a listen of the first two as they sound RIGHT up my street! I’ve read quite a few posts on podcasts before but this is the only one I’ve actually properly wanted to listen to by the sounds of them. Keeping it candid sounds like a good one for us bloggers! I definitely need to delve into Youtube more as I feel like I’m missing out on a few cool creators!

He deffo deserves the dig 😂😂 and they’re probably my faves – Luisa Zissman is savagely honest which I love (it definitely makes for good listening), Sophie totally understands the blogger world and is completely honest about her experience with blogging (like how much to charge for posts and everything!)
You definitely need to give some YouTube channels a watch, it’s so easy to get lost in an abyss of content 😂❤️❤️
