I love the PJs
First of all, I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas full of love, joy, laughter, food and lots of booze/presents. I had an amazing day (as usual) and decided today I’m going to be a basic bitch blogger and share with you some of the gifts I was lucky enough to be given this year – because what kind of blogger would I be if I didn’t share this kinda stuff with you?! I also want to insert a disclaimer here about the nature of this post as it has been a pretty controversial topic on Twitter – I’m not here showing off everything I’ve received and hope that my followers can appreciate that that’s not what I’m about. I’m merely showing you guys what I got because I want to share some cool stuff that I think you might like too.
Aaron and I always make a big fuss of each other at Christmas since we’re that bit older and our parents don’t go as crazy as they used to – we also want to spoil each other as much as possible before the time eventually comes that we have children and won’t be able to do it anymore (I said it – not him lol). We always tell each other what we’d like for a main present and the rest are all surprises – we love to get jokey stocking fillers and this year didn’t disappoint. So here’s a round up of gifts I got from Aaron this year;
- The beautiful grey coat from Topshop I featured in my Picks from the Black Friday Sales post, I’m a little bit obsessed with this coat and SO happy I’ve got a nice tailored one in my wardrobe now!
- Some dark blue Baxter jeans from Topshop
- A grey fine knit jumper from Hollister (oh so soft!)
- A wine coloured, corduroy dungaree/ pinafore dress from Topshop
- Some fluffy socks – because admit it, everyone loves to get some socks for Christmas. Who even buys their own socks?!
- Some cozy pyjamas from Primark
- A rubber phone case with stars on because I quote “You’re always dropping your bloody phone and I thought you needed something to stop it smashing”. If that’s not love, I don’t know what the hell is
- The book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso & the #Girlboss workbook for me to plan out world domination
- A ball shaped massager contraption for my back (I’ve got mild scoliosis in my back and get some serious back pain – thoughtful and practical, thank you Aaron! ❤️)
Aaron appreciates my love for Topshop which is one of the many many reasons I’m marrying him next year *picture a cringey swoon which makes you want to vomit in your mouth here*
From my Mum and Step Dad I got a large Yankee Candle in the scent Snow In Love (it smells UH-MAY-ZING) and Me • You • A Diary by Dawn French – fun fact, I tweeted Dawn a picture as it arrived before Christmas and didn’t have a clue who it was from and SHE LIKED MY TWEET 😂
As soon as it happened I text my mum and we were both fan-girling like mad!
From my Dad and Step Mum I got an adjustable mannequin for me to use when I want to work on different sized clothing for my Etsy store My Fashion Faux Pas (check out what I’ve got available at the moment here!), a woolly hat and some cute silver hoop earrings (matching with Georgie because my Dad always buys us the same stuff just like when we were kids).
From my sister Georgie I got a gorgeous denim jacket with a fur trim collar, some chokers and socks (more socks woohoo!) she told me she was pissed that she went back into New Look on Christmas Eve to find out it had been reduced to half price – sucks to be you 😂
From Aaron’s parents I got a cosy fluffy jumper to wear at home and a Mr & Mrs calendar in celebration of next years’ nuptials! I also grabbed my wedding dress on our way out which they’ve had stored for me as I’ve got my first dress fitting on Saturday 🤗
From my Grandad I got the standard shopping vouchers that he buys all of us grandkids each year – I’m going to be heading to Debenhams to pick up a new Kat Von D Lock It foundation as mines running low and Girl needs that kind of cover on these acne scars 😉. I also got some vouchers from my Auntie Magi which I haven’t decided how I’m going to spend yet – again, another standard present which she buys all of her nieces (there are 5 girls and 1 boy – poor Stuart lol).
My Uncle Mick & Auntie Sheri got me a lovely set of make up brushes (including brush cleaner 🤗) which I’m really excited to experiment with
My Auntie Heidi got me and Aaron matching mugs, some lovely bath bits, the book Murder on the Orient Express and some got chocolate!
And finally from my Grandma I got some perfume by Sarah Jessica Parker ‘Lovely’ and the cosiest fluffy blanket for Aaron and I to snuggle under at home!
I’ve linked some of the items where I’ve been able to find them online if you’d like to check them out for yourself. Please note that I have used some affiliate links in this post meaning I may get a commission if you purchase anything through them – it doesn’t cost you anything extra, but is a nice bit of change for me to have and keep this little old blog going!
What did you guys get for Christmas and did you get anything I’ve listed in today’s post? Let me know in the comments belong
