So it’s been an entire month since I first launched My Fashion Faux Pas on Etsy and what a month it’s been! I wanted to summarise some of the achievements I’ve made over this past month to remind myself of how far it’s come in a short space of time. Some of the item photos I’ve shared on Instagram have been my most successful posts – the following received in excess of 100 likes which is unheard of for me!
If you haven’t heard about my store, make sure to check out my launch post here. I wanted to recycle old clothing to create fashion wins out of what may have once been a fashion faux pas using my love of fashion and sewing to do so. So, instead of blabbering, here’s a summary of what I’ve achieved;
- 23 items listed
- 9 favourited items
- 13 store favourites
- 7 followers
- 1 sale (privately – not through Etsy)
- I’ve got some yellow postage bags for my orders to go out in (to go with the colour scheme of course) – sounds stupid but I was so excited by this as I felt pretty profesh
- I’ve got stick-on labels for my postage bags that I can print my logo and addressee details on – again, feeling very profesh
- And finally I got some very snazzy looking business cards!
I also decided to put together a few snaps of my personal favourite listings of the month.
As well as some new additions to my store (all items are linked);
My top fave has got to be the final listing of this post, the grey thin rib knit jumper dress which went down pretty well on social media! It started off by me just cutting, draping and plaiting which morphed into this during the sewing process – which I’ve found makes for some of the best pieces I have!
I’m going to be doing monthly updates for you guys so you can see what’s new and for me to track the progress I’ve made and am going to be working on putting a shop page on this blog in the new year – I’ve made a plan for myself and it’ll be great to see how that pans out!
Make sure to visit my store here and help a sister out if you really like something.
