Just a warning for you all, you’re going to be seeing a lot of these end of year posts this month – most worn items, photo out takes, blogging achievements… don’t say you weren’t warned.
I thought it would be fun to crown my top items I’ve worn all year which have withstood the test of time and seasons. I’m sure you’ll all see these and roll your eyes at me showcasing the same old shit again – but I’m going to do it anyway 😉
Each item has been ordered based on how many times they appeared on my Instagram feed since the beginning of 2017;
1. Rayban Clubmaster Sunglasses
48 Times
These make me feel like I’m the absolute shit – like I can strut on a runway not giving two fucks (lol I deffo can’t with how much my legs go wobbly when someone makes me jump) just flicking my hair at the haters
2. Doc Martens
32 Times
Another thing that makes me feel like the edgy girl that stomps through her life like “and what bitch?” These are deffo my fave shoes of 2017 and probably will continue into next year.
3. Ripped skinny jeans from River Island
15 Times
Who doesn’t love ripped jeans (other than older family members that love to inform you of the huge gaping hole you have in your jeans – no Auntie they’re supposed to be like that because, FASHION) I love these ones from River Island and the wash on them works really well for me.
4. Ripped skinny jeans from Miss Selfridge
9 Times
Ahh an old classic pair – yes they have holes in and yes is the answer I’ve given to all of the people that don’t understand fashion when they’ve asked whether I know there are holes in my jeans – but they’ve also lasted me a couple of years.
5. Black Joni jeans from Topshop
6 Times
Who doesn’t love the Topshop Joni jeans? Every girl and her sister has them. I’ve retained the colour by not wearing them too much and getting as much wear between washes as possible as they’re renowned for the colour washing out quickly. But again – fashion.
6. Tan bucket bag from Warehouse
6 Times
I love this bag and have done since Aaron got it for me for my birthday many moons ago – you can’t go wrong with a real leather bag as it only gets better with age. I’ve since swapped it in favour of my latest Michael Kors addition to my wardrobe, but this is a bag which will remain until the end of time.
And so we come to the end of the post as we draw towards the end of the year.
I’ve been working on this post for months and adding to it as these items cropped up time and again in my wardrobe. But the main thing I wanted to get across is that; investing in key pieces for your wardrobe will save you lots of pennies in the long run. I’ve only shown items which I’ve got photos of and there are a hell of a lot more wears which haven’t been shown and a lot more that has been worn on the regular.
Let me know in the comments below if you’ve got key staples that you want to shout about and tell everyone they need, as these are mine 😉
