I’ve been blogging for 2 years in January, but dabbled in YouTube a number of years ago. Throughout the last 7/8 years I’ve followed a select few via their blogs and YouTube channels that have inspired me and given me hope that I would be able to make it.
It might just be a pipe dream, I might well never make it – but I will make damn sure that I do everything in my power to grow my own empire like some of the following ladies;
1. Patricia Bright
I have followed this woman since I first discovered people actually document hair growth and how they’ve been growing their hair online back in 2012/13. She’s since ditched her hair growth videos, but has expanded into fashion, beauty and life.
I’ve laughed so much watching her and cried at beautiful moments of her life (her wedding video and when her daughter was born – I was an absolute blubbering mess!) She’s an inspiration in that she gives her viewers guidance and stories of how she’s handled life, her style slays and she’s always sharing her great advice. She’s really blown up in the last couple of years, exceeding 1 million subscribers, but do you know what? I can see why – she’s hilarious, honest and a beautiful human being.
2. Lydia Millen
I discovered Lydia a couple of years back and can’t remember a time where I haven’t watched her and read her blog. She posts the most amazing style videos, is the ultimate style queen (with a wardrobe I could only dream of) and is still so humble about how far she’s come. I get major bag envy watching her, but she really shows how much hard work goes into where she is today.
3. Grace Victory
Grace has been someone I’ve watched for around the same amount of time as Patricia – she never holds back on giving her sometimes controversial opinions and is a real advocate for equality for everyone, no matter their size or skin colour – she’s someone that speaks for the people. I loved her book # No Filter (make sure to check out what I took away here) and felt so inspired after reading it to continue doing what I’m doing. For that, I’ll always be thankful to the Internet’s big sister.
4. Helen Anderson
Helen (formerly Melonlady!) has an alternative style which I love – she doesn’t hold back, will eff and blind all over her channel and has an amazing taste in music which makes me love her even more. I love that she’s stayed true to herself and hasn’t strayed from her high street style. She shares her great high street finds and continues to make me laugh with each and every video she uploads.
5. Samantha Maria
Sammi was one of the first fashion bloggers/vloggers that I started to follow online. She has amazing style and gorgeous tattoos which set her apart from a lot of other bloggers. She’s amassed a great well deserved following over the last few years and has launched her own fashion label with her now husband Jason #goals!
And they’re my top 5 favourite most inspirational bloggers – if you haven’t heard of them (although I’m sure you would have!) make sure to check them out!

Ahh they’re amazing aren’t they? Some of the reasons I started to blog in the first place! X
