I don’t know what it is, but lately I’ve been day dreaming about throwing in the towel at my current job (which I’ve always loved and still do!) and going at it full time with my blog.
I don’t get anywhere near the amount of traffic to do this (and I’m not stupid enough to do that – girl got a car loan to pay off and a wedding/house to save for!) but it’s the dream.
I love writing and find it very therapeutic, I love to make people laugh (even if that’s at my expense) and love fashion. I always have and always will – ask anyone that’s met me and I guarantee I would have at some point made a comment about how I like something they’re wearing or their make up or hair. It fascinates me and I love seeing how everyone portrays themselves through their wardrobe every day.
I’m sure if you’ve been a long time reader you’ll have noticed that I’ve dedicated a lot more time to this since the start of 2017. This is what I love to do and I know in my heart that it’s what I want to do with my life.
Creating a fashion blog is such a common thing and it’s hard not to think that there’s not enough room on the internet for little old me. But I’m going to stick at it – I was watching a video on Jade Vanriel’s channel (she’s a 23 year old that’s just bought a flat – go and check her out!) featuring Gracie F Victory (who I love and have been following for years) about her career and blogging. One thing that really resonated was that if you’re true to yourself it will take longer to get where you need to be, but you need to stick with it and it can work.
Aaron’s been great at playing photographer and is really supportive of what I’m doing, which really helps me believe in my writing – a couple of the snaps below were shot by him – isn’t he great? One of the many many reasons I’m marrying him next year!
But that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Keep on writing what I’m passionate about, I like to think my blog is unique in that it’s about making fun about my mishaps with fashion and beauty – and if it’s meant to be, it will be. As my late Grandma would always sing- Que sera sera (god I miss her a lot).
Until next time…
