Verdict on La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo cream

Can you believe it’s been 6 weeks since I wrote my post on the skincare range that I was trialling out?! Neither can I!

So, there were 3 products in the set; the purifying cleanser face wash, the toner and the cream.

Have I noticed a difference in my skin?

Yes and no – yes because for the first few weeks I was seeing an improvement and no because I used some foundation that broke me out in spots towards the end of the 6 weeks 😡.  Below are weekly progress pictures for you to see for yourself;

Week 1: for some reason I’m pulling a weird arse face – sorry about that!

Week 2:

Week 3:

Week 4:

I didn’t get a week 5 picture as I was not in the mood for taking pictures of my face after my faint the day before, so we’ll gloss past that week!

Week 6:

So my final verdict? My skin is hella better than when I started – I don’t think it was the toner (it was a bit meh) and the face wash was just a standard face wash, but the cream really did help me a lot!

My skin tone is a lot more even, however I still get the hormonal spots on my chin (I’m sure you can see the fresh one in the above pic!) and I don’t think it was helped by me trying out the new L’Oreal Foundation featured in my previous post, which seemed to clog me up!

To repurchase or not? I wouldn’t buy the whole set again, but will definitely invest in another tube of the moisturiser to see whether longer use will improve my skin further.

Let me know if there are any other skincare products you think I should try out to help with my combination skin in the comments!

Until next time…
