Sleep in roller review

10/02/2017

Hi guys! Following my previous post on my love of big hair (and bitches, I don’t care! 💁🏼) I was gifted a lovely set of sleep in rollers from my friend Kerri-Ann’s daughter Jess (who has the longest hair that even Rupunzel would envy). She wasn’t a massive fan and knowing my love of big old hair, thought I should give them a go.
So back home I went with the big old box of rollers, ready to test out at the weekend. They’re a bit annoying to roll in when you have quite long hair (I can understand why Jess wasn’t a fan) and need to secure with a hair grip – but I managed to roll my entire head, using varying sizes:

(Selfie I sent to Kerri-Ann 😂)
I don’t have a hair net and wanted to make sure they didn’t roll out in the night and turn into a birds nest, so I found my trusty old Coca-Cola T-shirt and wrapped it over the top for good measure.

(I hope you’re enjoying these ever so flattering pictures)
Off to bed I went! I must say, they weren’t the most comfortable things to sleep in – I’m not one for having lumps all over my head at night. However, I slept okay (ish) and was so excited to unravel my bouncing hair when I woke up.

So much excitement on that face (which was half made-up, hence me looking less death and more fresh faced).

So much volume and bounce! I felt oh so sassy strutting down the road that morning and was very happy with the results!
What I would like to flag, is that for anyone who’s hair doesn’t hold shape well, I recommend a lot of hairspray to keep the bounce all day. Mine unfortunately fell flat in the afternoon, which I think was due to me not spraying a whole can of hairspray on!
Would I do it again? Not immediately, I’ve got a cold coming on and don’t want to sacrifice the sleep I can get – but would definitely put them in for wear during the day!
Until next time …

We’re now in the process of fixing it up and getting our bedroom ready to move in to, so hope we can get in next week! I’m going to be sharing the whole process on our Tiktok account which you can follow @thealbonrenovation - the first post on there is just a video showing the whole house as it was when we bought it on Friday (it’s changed a lot since then!) - so give us a follow it you love a bit of home renovation! 🥳🥳 #firsttimebuyers #newhouse
When the snow was beautiful and didn’t disappear When the snow was beautiful and didn’t disappear ❄️ what a week it’s been! I’ve been shivering away, heating on full blast and my dressing gown wrapped around me as I work this week - I love the look of snow but hate the cold! Had a day of hypochondria where I had a cough and was convinced it was Covid - but turns out my husband knows me best and that it wasn’t. And that’s probably the most exciting bit of news I l have for you all! How are you all doing?!
Hello all! I’m trying not to leave too much time Hello all! I’m trying not to leave too much time between posts as I have been in the last few months, so I think a couple of weeks is an improvement! On our way home from food shopping last week (highlight of the week!) we decided to stop by one of my favourite spots to take some outfit photos, where the majority of what I’m wearing is second hand (bag, jacket and jumper). I’m getting extremely stir crazy, but at the same time have turned into quite the hermit, I miss going out for lunch with Aaron, mooching around the charity shops and going out to do site visits for work - let’s hope this vaccine helps bring some normality!
And the final day of 2020 is upon us! I decided to And the final day of 2020 is upon us! I decided to make myself feel like I was going somewhere tonight by putting a full face of makeup on, with the intention of sitting on the sofa sharing a bottle of Disaronno with Aaron to see the new year in! We might hit up the kitchen, the living room and Aaron suggested the bathroom but I wasn’t sure 😂 what have you got planned for tonight? And Happy New Year to everyone!
And that’s Christmas over for another year (alth And that’s Christmas over for another year (although let’s be honest, 2020 may as well not have happened!) and I just hope to god 2021 is a damn site better for everyone! Since I’ve been attempting to cut out purchasing brand new clothing all together, bar a few items such as underwear and pyjamas, I’m hoping once Hertfordshire is out of Tier 4 that I can head to the shops and do some serious secondhand shopping and use the vouchers I got to buy myself some new beauty bits. How was your quiet Christmas and have you got any beauty recommendations for me? #hertsbloggers #fashionbloggeruk #ukfashionblogger #ukstyleblogger #hertsbloggerlove #sustainablefashionblogger #secondhandfashionblogger #petitebloggeruk #petitefashionbloggeruk #outfitinspo #mylookoftheday #ootdshare #ukfashionblog #petitestyle #hertfordshirebloggers #funkyfashion #ukfashion #ootdinspo #canon700d #canon #amatuerphotography #aspiringfashionblogger #aspiringblogger
