Splashing the cash on foundation…

Good evening internet friends, me again! So, I just received an order in the post today and thought it would be a good idea to share with you all what I got!

As previously established, I’m crap at make up and that’s something that I want to change this year. I was recently at a Younique make up party and ordered some of their ‘liquid gold’ mineral foundation after being pretty impressed by the sample I tried, which was a big step for someone that usually won’t spend much more than £10 on make up products (it was £30).

Unfortunately it’s sold out in the UK and has been for quite some time and I needed a new foundation as mine was running pretty low. The presenter Sarah (definitely recommend her!) was lovely however and said I could wait until it came back into stock again or have a refund. So, deciding that I needed a foundation ASAP I asked for the refund and will get a bottle later on in the year when I’ve run out of this one and its more readily available in the UK.

So then I hit up Youtube to see what all the beauty vloggers have been recommending (my new budget being £30 as I had the refund) and found so many people have been raving about the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation;

I ordered it in the shade  1C1 ‘Cool Bone’ from John Lewis for £30 (feeling oh so posh at ordering from JL) and awaited its arrival.

Being far too excited, I didn’t take off my foundation from the morning and set straight to work at trying this bad lad out. I’ve inserted before and after photos below (sorry for the bad lighting in the first one!);

As you can see, the red spots on my chin are covered very well with only a small amount of foundation. The colour is a tad light for my liking but, could I have found the holy grail of foundation?!

As we all know, opinions can change and I might not feel the same after more use so I’ll report back in a few weeks.

Check me out, getting onto the make up hype bandwagon Winking smile

Until next time…
