Firstly I’d like to apologise for my late post (I’m trying to do one a week and it was due yesterday!) I was just snuggling up on the sofa reading an article in my Cosmo about bloggers and remembered I hadn’t posted.
Anyway, I digress. Let’s get to this week’s topic!
I’m sure you’ve had quite enough of reading about how short I am and how it impacts my fashion choices, however it’s a huge part of my mission to finding my own style!
If I could help at least one other little person with finding the right clothes for them (whilst giving them a giggle) then this blog is working!
The dress in the photo below is classic example of a silhouette that doesn’t work for me. Although I’m little, I do have a little bit of curve (namely my arse, which I don’t mind) and this dress doesn’t show off any of that.
I think this shape would be better suited to someone that’s got super long legs and is quite ‘straight up and down’ as they say. Because of my height, I find that above the knee length dresses aren’t very flattering on me and make me look a little bit stumpy and shorter than I already am. I’ve really gotten into wearing fitted midi-length dresses which show the world that I am a bit of a curvy gal and that I may look slightly taller than 5ft 2in (and a half!)
My battle for this year is to wear one of my many pairs of Chelsea boots (they are my favourite staple!) that have a bit of a heel on them to give me a bit of extra height on a day to day basis. I usually avoid wearing them as I’m quite prone to having ‘wobbly leg’ moments and reserve them for when Aaron’s there to drag me along behind him.
I think that I’m going to do a whole post on how my wobbling legs impact my style choices. I’m unfortunately one of the many people of today burdened with constant anxiety that usually ends up with my legs trembling, which makes life in general extremely difficult.
So, please let me know if it’s something you’d like to hear a bit more about (I’m very open about it!) and it can be next week’s topic!
Until next time…
